Description
The Refazi EL GR A is a mains garden spike light, staked directly into soil or a planting border to mark and accent the garden after dark. It draws 6W at 220-240V AC and delivers 60 lumens at a crisp 4000K neutral white, with a colour rendering of Ra 80 that keeps foliage and stonework looking natural. Across the Atlantic this style of fitting is usually shelved as a landscape spike or pathway light, the same staked format aimed at borders and planting beds rather than open lawn.
Because the output is modest at 60 lumens, this is an accent and wayfinding fitting rather than a source of broad illumination. It works well planted alongside a path edge, tucked into a shrub bed to graze a plant or low wall, or grouped in twos and threes to pick out a border, where each unit casts a contained pool of neutral white rather than flooding a wide area. With an IP54 rating it is best kept in sheltered and covered positions such as a porch surround, a carport border or planting against a house wall, clear of fully exposed spots, direct hose jets or standing water.
The body is moulded from polycarbonate in an anthracite finish, weighs 202g and carries an IK08 impact rating that suits the knocks of a busy border. Mounting is by ground spike: the stake pushes into soil and the head angle can be set to aim the light where it is wanted, so there is no wall fixing or recessing involved. It runs straight from mains AC and is not dimmable, with a rated lifespan of 25,000 hours. The Refazi range includes further outdoor spike and ground fittings if you are building a matched garden scheme.

Frequently Asked
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, within limits. The IP54 rating makes it splash-resistant and fine for sheltered or covered outdoor spots such as a porch surround, carport border or planting against a wall. Keep it out of fully exposed positions, away from direct hose jets and clear of standing water.
Can the angle be adjusted?
Yes. Once the spike is pushed into the soil you can set the head angle to aim the beam, which lets you graze a low wall, light a plant or wash a section of border. This makes it easy to fine-tune the effect after planting.
Does it need a transformer or run on mains?
It runs directly from 220-240V AC mains, so no separate low-voltage transformer is required. That keeps installation straightforward where a mains supply is already routed to the border or planting area.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the polycarbonate body and lens with a soft damp cloth to remove soil splashes and garden debris, then dry it off. Avoid abrasive pads or solvents, which can dull the anthracite finish and cloud the lens over time.
