Description
The REFAZI EL is a garden spike light that runs at 6W and pushes out 360 lumens at a crisp 4000K cool-white tone. Known to UK gardeners as a garden spike light, the type is also sold across the US as a landscape spike or pathway light, and the principle is the same: a compact head on a pointed stake that you push into soil to throw light where you want it. The square polycarbonate head carries a CRI of Ra 80, so foliage and brickwork read with reasonable colour accuracy.
Staked into a flower bed, border or planter, the REFAZI EL is built to graze a wall, light a path edge or pick out a shrub rather than flood a whole area, so its coverage is best thought of in terms of throw and accent rather than a measured floor area. At 360 lumens it gives a focused pool of light suited to marking a route or highlighting a single feature, and several units spaced along a path build up a guided run. The angle of the head can be set to aim the beam up at a plant or down across a surface as the planting changes.
Construction is polycarbonate throughout with a white finish, rated IP54 for splash resistance and IK08 for knock resistance, which suits sheltered and covered outdoor spots such as a porch or carport edge rather than fully-exposed positions or anywhere subject to direct water jets. It runs on 220-240V AC mains, is non-dimmable and is rated for 25,000 hours, with the head fixed to a ground spike for tool-free installation. The fitting weighs 216g. Other spike and ground fittings sit alongside this in the wider Kanlux range.

Frequently Asked
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, within limits. The IP54 rating means it resists splashing and is fine for sheltered or covered outdoor spots such as borders near a porch or carport. Keep it clear of fully-exposed positions, direct water jets or standing water.
Can the angle be adjusted?
Yes. The head can be tilted on the spike so you can aim the beam up at a plant or wall, or down across a path. This lets you re-aim it as planting grows or the layout changes.
Does it run on mains or a transformer?
It runs directly from 220-240V AC mains, so no separate low-voltage transformer is needed. It should be connected to a suitable weatherproof mains supply by a qualified electrician.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the polycarbonate head with a soft, damp cloth once it is switched off and cool, clearing any soil splashes or leaf debris from the lens. Avoid solvents or abrasive cleaners, which can dull the white finish over time.
