Reef 450mm CCT Dimmable LED Flush Ceiling Light with Remote - Polished Chrome & White

The Reef is a 450mm flush LED ceiling light with a frosted opal acrylic ring diffuser set around a polished chrome centre plate. An integrated 48W LED array behind the diffuser delivers 3500 lumens of output, with colour temperature adjustable from 3000K warm white to 6500K daylight via the included remote control. The diffuser also dims from 100% to near-zero via the same remote, allowing brightness and tone to be set independently.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.6m where a pendant would hang too low, the Reef sits 60mm below the ceiling rose and suits living rooms, bedrooms, home offices and hallways needing overhead ambient light without the visual weight of a suspended fitting. The remote control stores brightness and colour temperature settings between uses, so the light returns to the last-used state when switched on at the wall unless manually adjusted.

The frosted acrylic ring creates a soft halo effect when lit, diffusing the LED light evenly across the surface without visible hotspots or LED points. The polished chrome centre plate reflects this diffused light back into the room, adding a layer of brightness in the centre of the fixture. The white outer edge of the acrylic blends cleanly into white ceilings, while the chrome accent provides contrast in darker or textured ceiling finishes.

The tuneable white range from 3000K to 6500K allows the light to shift from warm evening ambient light to bright task light for daytime working or reading, controlled from the handset without needing a separate smart system or wiring modification. The 3500lm output at full brightness covers typical UK living rooms of 12-16m² as primary overhead lighting, or larger spaces when paired with task lamps or wall lights.

How is the colour temperature changed?

The included remote control has dedicated buttons for adjusting colour temperature from 3000K warm white through to 6500K daylight. The fixture remembers the last-used setting and returns to it when switched on at the wall.

Can it be controlled without the remote?

Yes. The fitting operates from a standard wall switch, turning on and off at the last-used brightness and colour temperature. The remote is only needed to adjust dimming level or colour temperature.

What room size does the 3500lm output suit?

At full brightness the 3500lm output covers typical UK living rooms and bedrooms of 12-16m² as primary overhead lighting. Larger rooms or spaces needing higher light levels can pair the Reef with task lamps or additional wall lights.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED array is integrated into the fitting and rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use. At 4 hours per day that equates to around 17 years before noticeable dimming occurs.
