Description

QTX High Grade Fog Fluid is a 5-litre water-based fog solution formulated for fog machines rated between 1000W and 5000W. The fluid produces medium-density white fog with slow dispersion and good stability, giving longer hang time than standard fog fluids. The fluid itself is orange in colour but outputs white fog when heated through a fog machine.

Designed for clubs, mobile DJs, small to medium event venues and theatrical productions, the fluid suits both atmospheric background haze and denser fog coverage depending on machine output and room volume. The non-toxic formulation conforms to REACH EC directive 91/155/EC, making it suitable for indoor use in occupied spaces. The fluid leaves no residue on floors or surfaces after the fog clears.

The 5-litre container provides extended use for regular applications without frequent refills. The slow dispersion characteristic means the fog remains visible in the room longer than fast-dispersion fluids, reducing the frequency of machine activation needed to maintain atmospheric coverage. The orange tint in the fluid itself acts as a visual identifier to distinguish it from other grades or brands when stored alongside multiple fluids backstage or in a DJ setup.

Frequently Asked

What wattage fog machine does this suit?

The label states suitability for fog machines up to 900W, though QTX's published specification shows the fluid working across machines from 1000W to 5000W. For machines below 1000W, a lighter-grade fluid may produce better output.

Does the orange colour appear in the fog?

No. The fluid is orange when stored in the bottle, but the fog output is white. The orange tint is a visual identifier for the fluid grade and does not transfer to the vapour once heated.

Is the fluid safe to use indoors?

Yes. The fluid is non-toxic, water-based, and conforms to REACH EC directive 91/155/EC. It leaves no residue on floors or surfaces after the fog dissipates. Adequate ventilation is still recommended during extended use in enclosed spaces.

What does slow dispersion mean?

Slow dispersion means the fog hangs in the air longer before dissipating, giving extended visibility and reducing the frequency of machine firing needed to maintain coverage. This contrasts with fast-dispersion fluids that clear quickly after output stops.
