Description

The QTX Essential is a 12m speaker cable with latching SPK plugs pre-fitted at both ends, built around 2 x 0.75mm² conductors with a 5.8mm outer diameter. The cable uses 2 x 30-strand 0.17mm conductors inside a soft-grip anti-tangle jacket, giving handling flexibility during setup and teardown without the stiffness of some cheaper speaker cables.

Designed for stage use, band rehearsals, and fixed installation where speakers sit at distance from the amplifier or mixing desk, the 12m length covers typical stage-to-FOH runs or rear-of-hall speaker positions without requiring extension or joins. The latching SPK plugs lock into compatible Speakon-type sockets, reducing the risk of accidental disconnection during performance or transport. The machine-assembled terminals reduce contact resistance compared to hand-soldered joints.

The 0.75mm² conductor cross-sectional area is rated for moderate power loads across typical passive speaker runs up to around 500W RMS per channel at 8 ohms over this 12m distance.
