Description

The QTX Butterfly Effect packs three lighting effects into one compact fixture, so you can cover a lot of ground without cluttering your setup. You get an RGBW butterfly effect that throws colourful beams across a room, a set of RGB PARs for broad colour washes, and a dual colour red and green laser for sharper detail. It works well for mobile DJs, small venues and home party rigs where space is limited but you still want plenty of movement and colour.

Control is straightforward. Run it in auto mode to cycle through the built-in programs, switch to sound-activated mode so the effects pulse in time with your music, or link several units together in master-slave for a synced show. When you want more precise control, connect via 13-channel DMX (DMX512) using the 3-pin XLR in and out sockets. An IR remote is included for quick adjustments on the night, and the supplied mounting bracket lets you fix it to a stand, truss or wall.

Inside you'll find two 15W flutter effect LEDs, six 1W RGB PARs and a dual colour laser rated at 100mW red and 50mW green (laser class 3B). The fixture runs on 110 to 240V AC at 50/60Hz and draws 38W, with an F5A fuse and IEC power input. It measures 130mm x 200mm x 240mm and weighs 1.18kg, so it packs down small for transport. The remote takes a CR2025 battery, which is supplied in the box along with the mounting bracket.
