Description

The QTX par can bar system mounts four RGBW LED par cans on a single T-bar frame that sits on an adjustable tripod stand. Each par can houses twelve 1W LEDs (three red, three green, three blue, three white) behind a 30° beam angle lens, giving the system a combined 60W output across four independently-addressable heads. The tripod stand adjusts from 0.9m to 1.8m height, allowing the bar to be raised above head height for room wash lighting or lowered for stage backlighting.

Designed for mobile DJs, bands and small event production where rapid setup and teardown are required, the system folds into a compact unit for transport. The par cans remain fixed to the T-bar during breakdown, so the entire assembly can be collapsed, loaded and moved without having to re-mount individual fixtures. Control is via onboard buttons on the rear panel, the included wireless remote, or DMX using the XLR-M input and XLR-F output for daisy-chaining into a larger DMX rig.

The four-colour RGBW mixing allows white light output without relying on blended RGB, which helps with colour accuracy when lighting performers or stages. The system includes built-in auto programs (colour fade, colour change, strobe, sound-to-light) and supports master-slave mode, allowing multiple bar systems to be linked without DMX cable or controller. At 5.5kg total weight including the tripod, the system is light enough for single-person setup. The T-bar measures 750mm wide and extends 200mm forward from the stand pole, giving clearance for the par cans to pan without hitting the support structure.

Frequently Asked

Can this system be controlled without a DMX controller?

Yes. The system includes onboard control buttons on the rear panel and a wireless remote controller. You can select static colours, auto colour fade programs, strobe and sound-to-light mode without any DMX equipment. DMX is optional and uses the XLR-M input for integration into larger rigs.

What does the RGBW colour mixing give over standard RGB?

The dedicated white LEDs in each par can produce white light directly, rather than mixing red, green and blue to approximate white. This gives cleaner whites, better colour rendering when lighting performers, and more accurate pastel tones. RGBW mixing also reduces power consumption when producing white or lighter colours compared to running RGB at full output.

Can multiple bar systems be linked together?

Yes. The system supports master-slave mode, allowing you to link multiple bar systems together so they all run the same program in sync without needing DMX cable or a controller. Alternatively, you can daisy-chain units via DMX using the XLR-F output on the first unit to the XLR-M input on the next.

Is the tripod stand stable at full height?

The tripod legs provide stability up to the maximum 1.8m height when the legs are fully extended on a level floor. For venues with uneven floors or where the system will be near audience movement, keep the tripod at mid-height (1.2-1.5m) and ensure the legs are fully locked at each adjustment collar.
