Description
The Prospect Park is a 3 light island chandelier built around three curved satin nickel arms radiating from a central chrome stem, each arm suspending a cylindrical opal etched glass shade banded in polished chrome at top and bottom. The three E27 sockets (bulbs sold separately) provide directed downlight suitable for kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars.
Designed for installation over work surfaces and dining areas, the 978mm width suits island units between 1.2-1.8m long and dining tables seating four to six. The adjustable chain permits drop heights from 563mm minimum to 1935mm maximum, allowing the fixture to be positioned 700-900mm above a worktop or dining surface depending on ceiling height. The cylindrical shades focus light downwards while the opal glass diffuses the beam to reduce glare.
The satin nickel finish on the arms presents as a soft pewter-grey metal with a low sheen, while the chrome accents on the bands, central stem and canopy add high-polish contrast. Small pressed crystal details sit at the junction where each arm meets the stem, catching light when the chandelier is illuminated. The metal frame weighs approximately 3.8kg before bulbs, requiring a ceiling rose or joist point capable of supporting the full suspended weight.
The opal etched glass is translucent rather than transparent, meaning the bulb filaments are visible as silhouettes when lit but not in sharp focus. This makes the fixture compatible with both standard LED bulbs and decorative filament-style bulbs where the warm glow contributes to the overall aesthetic. Each socket accepts up to 60W, giving a combined maximum output of 180W across all three lamps.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Prospect Park uses three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most installations pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K. Decorative filament-style bulbs also work well, as the opal etched glass softens but does not completely hide the bulb outline.
What size island or table does it suit?
The 978mm width works best over island units between 1.2-1.8m long or dining tables seating four to six people. For larger islands or tables, consider installing two Prospect Park chandeliers spaced evenly along the length.
Is the drop height adjustable after installation?
The drop is set during installation by shortening the chain to the desired length. Once installed, the height cannot be adjusted without removing the canopy and re-threading the chain. The adjustable range is 563mm minimum to 1935mm maximum.
How is the chandelier cleaned?
The chrome and satin nickel metalwork can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth. For the opal glass shades, remove them from the arms (they typically unscrew from the chrome bands) and wash in warm soapy water, then dry thoroughly before refitting. The pressed crystal accents can be wiped gently with a damp cloth.
