Description

The PRO-S 45W ZH is a pole-mounted street light built for roads, car parks and amenity areas. It draws 45W and puts out 7080 lumens at a steady 4000K neutral white, with an efficiency of 157 lm/W that keeps running costs in check across long overnight hours. The wide X150/Y125° asymmetric beam spreads light along the carriageway or parking bay rather than throwing it straight down, which is what an area light (the term more common in US car-park and street specs) is designed to do. The result is broad, even coverage from each column with fewer fixtures.

This luminaire suits public and private roads, car parks, loading yards, access drives and pedestrian routes where consistent surface brightness matters for safety and movement. Its asymmetric beam is set up to lay light forward along the run, so columns can be spaced sensibly while still avoiding dark gaps between pools. As a street and area light rather than ambient room lighting, its performance is judged on throw and on-road uniformity rather than a room coverage figure, and the 4000K tone gives clear, natural colour for number plates, signage and faces. For parking lots and through-roads it works as a direct replacement for older SON or metal-halide lanterns at far lower power.

The body is aluminium alloy in a grey finish, rated IP66 against dust and powerful water jets and IK08 for impact resistance, so it stands up to fully exposed outdoor and wet locations year round. It mounts on a street pole or column via the spigot, measures 535 × 210 × 108 mm and weighs 2.99 kg, keeping load on the bracket modest. The integrated LED is rated for 100,000 hours and is not dimmable. Other wattages in the PRO-S range cover larger roads and car parks where more output is needed.

Frequently Asked

How is this street light mounted?

It is a pole or column-mounted luminaire, fixed to a street pole via its spigot rather than to a wall or building. This lets it sit at the correct height over a road or car park to spread light evenly across the surface below.

Is it suitable for fully exposed outdoor use?

Yes. It carries an IP66 rating, so it is sealed against dust ingress and powerful water jets and is designed for exposed outdoor and wet locations. The IK08 rating also gives it solid resistance to knocks and impact.

How should the columns be spaced for even coverage?

The X150/Y125° asymmetric beam casts light forward along the road or car park, so it is built to give even coverage between widely spaced columns. Exact spacing depends on column height and the road width, but the forward throw is intended to avoid dark gaps between fixtures.

What older fitting does it replace?

At 45W it produces 7080 lumens, which lets it stand in for much higher-wattage SON or metal-halide street lanterns at a fraction of the energy use. The integrated LED is also rated for 100,000 hours, cutting maintenance visits compared with discharge lamps.
