Description
The PRESO EL is a twin-head garden spike light that takes two GU10 lamps, each rated up to 10W, running from a 220-240V AC supply. With one head facing up and the scope to angle the second, it casts light in two directions from a single point in the ground, grazing a wall or marking a planted border. American buyers will recognise the format as a landscape spike light, the staked cousin of a pathway fixture, throwing a focused beam rather than flooding a whole area. Its PAR16 LED source keeps the output tight and directional.
Push the spike into soil or a planted bed and the PRESO EL settles in among shrubs, along a path edge or beside a doorway to pick out greenery and texture. Because it is a directional accent fitting rather than ambient room lighting, think of its reach in terms of beam throw and the surface it grazes rather than any floor area it covers. The twin heads let one beam wash upward over foliage or a fence while the other catches a lower detail. Its IP44 rating means it is built for splash and sheltered positions, so place it under planting cover, beside a porch or beneath a carport rather than in a fully exposed, driving-rain spot or anywhere it could sit in standing water.
The body is aluminium alloy in an anthracite finish, a weight of 470g giving it enough heft to stay planted once the spike is set. It runs on standard mains voltage through GU10 lamps, so you choose the wattage, beam and colour temperature to suit the scene, up to 10W per head. The IP44 seal suits splash and sheltered outdoor use. We stock the GU10 lamps separately if you need to pair the fitting with the right beam angle for your planting.

Frequently Asked
Is the PRESO EL suitable for outdoor use?
It carries an IP44 rating, which means it is splash-resistant and built for sheltered outdoor positions such as planted borders, porches and carport areas. It is not rated for fully exposed locations, direct water jets or sitting in standing water, so keep it clear of spots that flood or take driving rain head-on.
Can the beam angle be adjusted?
The PRESO EL has two heads, so you can aim the light in two directions from a single spike. One beam can wash upward over foliage or a wall while the other picks out a lower detail, letting you tailor both throws to the planting around it.
Does it run on mains or need a transformer?
It runs directly from a standard 220-240V AC mains supply, so no separate low-voltage transformer is required. Each head takes a GU10 lamp rated up to 10W.
Are the bulbs included?
The fitting takes two GU10 PAR16 LED lamps, which are chosen separately so you can match the wattage, beam angle and colour temperature to your scheme. We stock suitable GU10 lamps if you need to add them to your order.
