Description

The Preso is a garden spike light built around a slim anthracite column standing 800mm tall, with a Ø90mm head that takes a single E27 bulb up to 10W. Running on 220-240V AC mains, it casts a localised pool of light at the base of the post, making it well suited to picking out planting, low borders and the edges of a path rather than flooding a wide area. In US terms this style of fitting is what landscape lighting ranges list as a pathway or spike light, staked among beds to mark a route and add height to the scheme.

Because the light sits roughly knee-height on its 800mm stem, the Preso works along driveways, garden borders and between shrubs where a taller marker reads more clearly than a flush ground dot. Coverage is best judged as a soft circle of light around each post, so spacing several down a path gives an even rhythm of pools rather than continuous wash. The Preso is a fixed upright spike rather than a tilting head, so it casts its light around the base of the 800mm post. You set the direction and lean by how you push the spike into the soil, which makes it easy to align along a border or path.

Does it run on mains or a transformer?

It runs directly on 220-240V AC mains, so no separate low-voltage transformer is required. The E27 lampholder simply needs a suitable outdoor supply connected by a qualified electrician.

Is a bulb included?

No, the Preso is supplied without a bulb so you can pick the tone and brightness to suit the scheme. It takes a single E27 LED bulb rated up to 10W, leaving the colour temperature and dimming up to your choice of lamp.
