Description

Presmenne is a set of three round LED downlights in a clean white finish, made to sit recessed in the ceiling so that only a slim white rim and the lens show. Each white plastic body is 9cm across, needs a cut-out of 6.8cm and takes just 3cm of recess depth, which makes them a sensible choice where the space behind the ceiling is shallow. The LEDs are integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or replace: each downlight runs at 4.5W and gives 450lm. They are rated IP20, which settles where they belong: indoors, in dry rooms and away from water.

We think of them as everyday ceiling lights for hallways, landings, living rooms, bedrooms and studies, anywhere you want even light from the ceiling without the bulk of a pendant. Their real advantage is choice: each one can be set at the light to 2700K for a warm, relaxed glow, 4000K for a crisper neutral light, or 6500K for a cool daylight tone that suits close work. That means the same lights can give a soft feel in a bedroom or a brighter, clearer light over a desk, and you are not locked into a single colour if your plans change.

Spring fixing clips hold each downlight in its cut-out, and the white rim sits neatly against a white ceiling. The lights run on 220-240V mains and carry an energy class of E. They are not dimmable and have no switch of their own, so they are controlled from a standard wall switch rather than a dimmer. As wired-in mains lights, they are installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Because the colour temperature is chosen at each light, it is worth settling on the tone you want before they go into the ceiling.
