The Presmenne is a set of three round LED downlights that sit neatly in the ceiling, each 9cm across and finished in satin nickel with a soft brushed sheen. The bodies are plastic, and each light carries an integrated LED of 4.5W giving 450lm, so there is never a bulb to buy or replace. They are rated IP20, which settles where they belong: indoors and dry, in living rooms, hallways, landings, bedrooms and studies, never in a bathroom or anywhere near water.

Three matching lights spread brightness across a room from three points rather than one, without a pendant taking up headroom, and the recess needs only 3cm of depth, which helps where the space above the ceiling is shallow. The real advantage is the choice of colour temperature, which you set at each light: 2700K is a warm light that suits a living room or bedroom in the evening, 4000K is a cooler, neutral light that keeps a hallway or study clear and bright, and 6500K is a crisp daylight for a workspace. One set can therefore suit whichever room needs it, and you can match the white to the other lights already in the room.

Each light is held in a 6.8cm cut-out by a pair of spring clips, and its face is a slim round bezel with the LED set in a smaller inner ring. They are not dimmable, so pair them with a standard on and off wall switch rather than a dimmer; there is no switch on the light. They run on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, carry an energy class of E, and the set weighs 0.37KG packed. As wired-in mains lights, they are installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download, so it helps to have them to hand when you book the work.
