Description

The Presmenne is a round recessed LED downlight with a brushed satin nickel bezel and a slim inner ring framing the light. The body is plastic, finished in satin nickel. It measures 9cm across, with a recess depth of 3cm and a 6.8cm cut-out, so it suits ceilings where the void is shallow. The light source is an integrated LED drawing 4.5W and giving 450lm. It runs on mains at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, with an energy class of E. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, well away from water.

You choose the colour temperature at the light itself, so one downlight covers several jobs. Set it to a warm 2700K for a living room or bedroom, a crisper 4000K for a kitchen, hallway or study, or a bright, cool 6500K where you want clear, daylight-style light for close work. That makes it a good choice when you are fitting out a whole ceiling and want every room to match in finish while each keeps its own mood. The satin nickel bezel sits neatly against a white or a dark ceiling, and its brushed look suits homes with brushed metal handles and hardware.

Spring fixing clips on either side hold the downlight in its cut-out, so the bezel sits close to the ceiling with a tidy edge. It is not dimmable and has no switch of its own. It is switched at the wall, so pair it with a standard wall switch rather than a dimmer. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download.
