Description

The PowerMaster S17438 is a 40W constant current LED driver delivering 1000mA output at 32-40Vdc from a 220-240V AC mains input. The driver converts mains voltage to the low-voltage DC current required by LED panels, downlights and strip installations, with overload and short-circuit protection built into the isolated circuit.

Designed for indoor commercial and residential installations rated IP20 or higher, the driver fits inside ceiling voids, control boxes and luminaire housings where ambient temperatures range from -20°C to +45°C. The 0.95 power factor reduces harmonic distortion on the supply and improves energy efficiency, while the 30,000-hour average lifespan minimises maintenance intervals in office, retail and home installations.

The compact 92mm x 49mm x 23mm plastic housing weighs 80g and includes screw-mount fixing holes at each end. The driver is non-dimmable and Class II rated, meaning it does not require an earth connection and is compatible with double-insulated luminaires. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry indoor environments only — not for bathrooms, kitchens or outdoor use.
