Our Pomp ornament is a cream hanging piece shaped like a traditional lantern: a fabric body stretched over slim vertical ribs, swelling at the middle and tapering at both ends, with a narrow band at the top and the bottom. It is a decorative ornament rather than a lamp, with nothing electrical to it, so it brings the soft outline of a lantern to places where a light would be awkward. It measures 20cm across at its widest and 39cm tall, and weighs 0.2KG. Beneath the body sits a turned finial, then a cord threaded with a small bead and finished in a long, loose tassel that sways whenever the air moves.

Because it is so light, it hangs from a ceiling hook, a curtain pole or a sturdy branch, held by the fine wire hanger at its top.
