Description

The Point-2 is a white outdoor spike spotlight with a GX53 bulb fitting, adjustable head and IP66 weatherproofing. The spotlight sits on a ground spike that pushes directly into soil, mulch or lawn, with the head rotating on a multi-axis joint to direct light onto garden features, pathway edges, planting or building facades.

Designed for UK garden and landscape lighting, the Point-2 suits border lighting along pathways, uplighting trees and shrubs, washing light onto walls or fence lines, and marking the edge of driveways and steps. The spike length of 150mm provides stability in typical garden soil, and the compact 120mm projection from ground level keeps the fitting low-profile. The GX53 lamp socket accepts standard GX53 LED bulbs from 4-11W (sold separately), giving control over brightness and colour temperature.

The body and diffuser are moulded from high-performance resin formulated to resist corrosion from atmospheric moisture, garden fertilisers and de-icing salts. The IP66 rating provides full dust-sealing and protection from powerful water jets, making the fitting safe for year-round outdoor use including direct exposure to rain, snow and hose-down cleaning. The resin material withstands temperatures from -60°C to +90°C, which covers the full UK outdoor range plus extreme continental climates.

The white finish provides a neutral accent that recedes into white-rendered walls, pale gravel and light-toned paving during daylight, while the directional beam keeps light precisely where it's needed rather than spilling into adjacent windows or neighbouring gardens. The adjustable head locks into position once angled, preventing wind or ground movement from shifting the beam over time.

The spotlight uses a GX53 bulb (sold separately). Most users fit a warm-white LED between 4-9W and 2700K-3000K for garden accent lighting. The GX53 socket is a low-profile disc format common in downlights and compact outdoor fittings.

Can it be used in lawn or must it go in borders?

The 150mm spike pushes into lawn, border soil, mulch or bare earth. In lawn the head sits approximately 120mm above ground level, which is low enough to avoid most mower decks but may need protection from strimmer line if positioned near grass edges.

Is the spotlight head adjustable after installation?

Yes. The head rotates and tilts on a multi-axis joint, allowing the beam to be directed up, down or horizontally once the spike is in the ground. The joint locks into position to prevent the beam drifting in wind.
