Description

A little clear capsule made for the pins of a G9 holder, giving warm white light at 2700K in place of the halogen it stands in for. It draws 3W and gives back 260 lumens, which is enough for the small shades and closed diffusers of decorative fittings where the lamp sits close to the surface. The clear body keeps the light source visible, so cut or ribbed shades still have something to catch and throw about rather than a flat wash. Capsules of this shape live in tight spaces, and this one is slim enough to sit behind a modest shade without pressing against it.

We reach for this as our standard G9 swap in wall lights, short pendants, chandelier arms, mirror lights and the small uplighters that sit on a shelf or a bookcase. The warm tone suits sitting rooms, bedrooms and landings, anywhere the old halogen colour is what the room is used to and a cooler white would feel unkind to the furnishings.
