Description

The Piazza is a 1020mm linear crystal suspension light with nine G9 bulb positions arranged behind a continuous curtain of octagon-cut crystals set in polished chrome rings. The crystals are layered in rows across the full length of the frame, creating a reflective surface that catches and multiplies light from the bulbs positioned inside. A recessed mirror-bright chrome plate runs down the centre of the fitting, adding depth behind the crystal layers.

Designed for installation above kitchen islands and dining tables where a horizontal light source is needed, the Piazza aligns with surfaces typically between 1.6-2.4m in length. The adjustable drop ranges from 220mm to 1220mm, allowing the fitting to be positioned 700-900mm above a worktop or table depending on ceiling height. The nine G9 bulbs (sold separately) can be dimmable LEDs or halogen depending on preferred light output and running cost, with dimmer compatibility requiring dimmable bulbs and a compatible wall dimmer.

The polished chrome frame and clear crystal construction pair with glass, marble and metallic finishes common in contemporary kitchens and dining rooms. The 5.3kg weight requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or suitable anchor point — the fitting is not designed for plasterboard-only installation. How is the crystal curtain cleaned?

Switch off at the mains and allow the fitting to cool completely. Use a dry, soft microfibre cloth to dust the crystal panels. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome frame or getting water inside the bulb holders.

What ceiling fixing is required?

At 5.3kg, the Piazza needs secure fixing into a ceiling joist or a suitable anchor rated for the weight. Standard plasterboard-only fixing is not sufficient. If your ceiling rose is not positioned over a joist, install a spreader plate or consult a qualified electrician before fitting.
