Description

The Phostis is a 557mm dual-mount light fitting designed to install on either ceilings or walls, with two white blown glass globe diffusers suspended from a matt white metal bar. Each diffuser houses a G9 bulb (sold separately), and the blown glass softens the light output to create diffused ambient illumination rather than direct task light.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and bathrooms (IP20 rating limits it to zones 3 and beyond in bathrooms — not directly above baths or in shower enclosures), the Phostis fits low-ceiling spaces where a traditional pendant would hang too far into the room. The 120mm projection from the wall or ceiling surface keeps the fitting compact. When wall-mounted, the light works as accent lighting above a console table, either side of a bed as paired bedside lights, or in corridors where ceiling height is limited.

The matt white powder-coated metal bar and fixings give a clean finish that pairs with white ceilings and neutral walls without creating a visible break. The blown glass globes are secured with screw fixings concealed inside the metal bar, so the underside of the fitting presents a smooth uninterrupted line. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and appropriate dimmable G9 LED bulbs, allowing light levels to be adjusted for different times of day.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating limits the Phostis to bathroom zones 3 and beyond — outside the immediate shower or bath area. It cannot be installed directly above a bath, in a shower enclosure, or within the immediate splash zone around a sink.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes two G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 3-5W warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 2700K and 3000K. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 LEDs and a compatible dimmer switch.

Can it be mounted horizontally on a wall?

Yes. The Phostis mounts horizontally on both walls and ceilings. The 120mm projection from the mounting surface keeps the globes clear of the wall or ceiling plane.

What's the diameter of each globe?
