The Phosra is a 40cm flush ceiling light built around a hemispherical diffuser made from white acid-etched blown glass, mounted on a white powder-coated metal base. The diffuser sits close to the ceiling with minimal projection, housing a single E27 bulb (sold separately) that casts light through the etched glass for even, diffused illumination across the room.

Designed for rooms with standard or low ceiling heights where a pendant would hang too far into the space, the Phosra suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining rooms of 12-18m² where overhead ambient light is needed without visual clutter. The 40cm diameter provides broad light coverage without overwhelming smaller rooms. The screw-fixing base mounts directly to a standard ceiling rose or junction box.

The acid-etched glass finish softens the light output and hides the bulb inside from view, preventing glare when the fitting is seen from below. The white powder-coated metal base matches the glass tone and resists chipping and discolouration over time. What bulb does the Phosra take?

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The flush mount design sits close to the ceiling with minimal projection, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower where a pendant would intrude into headroom.

Can it be dimmed?

The fitting itself is dimmable. To achieve dimming you need to pair it with a dimmable E27 LED bulb and install a compatible LED dimmer switch on the wall circuit. Not all LED bulbs dim smoothly, so check bulb compatibility before purchasing.
