Description
The Pevo is a garden spike light built around a GX53 lamp holder, taking a lamp of up to 11W and running from a 220 to 240V AC mains supply. It sits on a stake that pushes into soil or a planted border, so the head stands clear of the ground and angles light where it is needed. Sold in the US as a landscape spike or pathway light, the Pevo serves the same job of marking borders and lifting planting after dark. The 80mm body and surface-standing form keep the fitting compact above the bed while the spike anchors it below.
This spike suits flower beds, shrub borders, low planting and the edges of paths and patios, where it can be moved as the garden changes through the seasons. Because it casts a directional pool rather than lighting a whole room, think of its reach in terms of the immediate planting or path edge it picks out rather than a floor area. Position it among shrubs to graze foliage, beside a path to guide the route, or angled towards a wall or fence to add depth to a planted corner. Several spikes spaced along a border give an even rhythm of light without flooding the space.
The body is cast from aluminium alloy in an anthracite finish that settles into garden planting and resists weathering. The fitting carries an IP44 rating, so it copes with rain splash and damp in sheltered and covered positions such as a porch or carport surround, though it should be kept clear of fully exposed spots, direct water jets and standing water. The GX53 lamp is user replaceable, letting you choose output and tone to match the scheme, and the spike mount means no fixing into masonry. The Pevo sits within our wider range of Kanlux outdoor garden lighting if you want to match spikes across a planting scheme.

Frequently Asked
Is the Pevo suitable for outdoor use?
It carries an IP44 rating, which makes it splash-resistant and suited to sheltered or covered outdoor positions such as borders near a wall, a porch or a carport surround. It should not be used in fully exposed locations subject to direct water jets, heavy driven rain or standing water. For damp but protected garden spots it is a good fit.
Does it need a separate transformer?
No. The Pevo runs directly from a 220 to 240V AC mains supply, so no low-voltage transformer is required. It should be wired into the garden circuit by a qualified electrician in line with the wiring regulations.
Is a lamp included?
The fitting uses a GX53 lamp holder and takes a lamp of up to 11W. Check the listing for whether a lamp is supplied, as the GX53 base lets you select the output and colour temperature to suit your planting and the surrounding scheme.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Wipe the anthracite aluminium body with a soft, damp cloth to clear soil splash, dust and garden debris, then dry it off. Avoid abrasive pads or solvent cleaners that could mark the finish. Isolate the supply before handling and keep the lamp holder clear of moisture when changing the lamp.
