Description

The Petal is a 12 light two-tier chandelier finished in polished copper, measuring 142cm across and 137cm in total height including the drop rod. Eight arms form the lower tier and four sit on the upper tier, each terminating in a G9 lamp holder shielded by a pair of curved petal-shaped metal panels. The result is a wide, sculptural fitting that reads as part chandelier, part overhead installation.

The scale suits double-height entrance halls, stairwells, large open-plan living and dining spaces, and hospitality interiors with ceiling heights of 3m or more. With a 142cm diameter the Petal needs clear space around it; in a dining setting it works best centred over a long table of 2m or more, hung 750-850mm above the table surface. The drop rod and ceiling cup are fixed-length as supplied.

Construction is metal throughout, with the polished copper finish carried across the canopy, drop rod, central hub, arms and petal shades. The petal panels are shaped from sheet metal and curve inwards around each lamp, partially shielding the G9 capsule from direct view at table-seated eye level while reflecting warm light back through the fitting. Twelve G9 lamps (sold separately) drive the output, allowing the colour temperature and brightness to be selected at install.

What bulbs does the Petal take?

The chandelier takes 12 x G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most buyers pair it with warm-white LED G9 lamps between 2700K and 3000K to complement the copper finish. Check the maximum wattage on the lamp holder before fitting.

What ceiling height is needed?

With a total drop of 137cm and a 142cm diameter, the Petal is built for ceilings of 3m or above. In rooms with lower ceilings the proportions overwhelm the space and the lower tier sits too close to head height in walkways.

Can the drop be shortened?

The drop rod is supplied at a fixed length. Any adjustment would need to be carried out by a qualified electrician at the point of installation and may not be supported under warranty.

Is it suitable above a dining table?

Yes, provided the table is long enough for the 142cm diameter to feel proportionate, typically 2m or more. Hang the lowest point 750-850mm above the table surface so the petal shades sit above seated eye level.
