Description
The Pesvette is a set of three round recessed downlights in white plastic, each 9cm across, with an inner ring that tilts so you can angle the light where it is needed. Each fitting takes a GU10 lamp of up to 5W, and the lamps are not included, which leaves you free to choose the brightness and colour of light that suit the room. The IP20 rating settles where they belong: indoors, in dry rooms, set into the ceiling of a hallway, landing or living room, and never in a bathroom or outside.
Three in one box gives a hallway or landing an even run of light along its length, or a living room ceiling a neat row of light without a pendant hanging low. The white rim sits close against a white ceiling and all but disappears, so the ceiling stays clean and uncluttered. The tilting ring is the useful part: turn one towards a painting, a bookcase or a run of cupboards and the light lands there rather than in a flat pool beneath it. They suit anyone replacing tired downlights or planning a new ceiling layout.
Each body is white plastic, held in the ceiling by spring clips at the sides, and the packed weight for the set is 0.268KG. There is no switch on the fittings; they are switched at the wall, like any ceiling light. They run on mains power at 220 to 240V, 50/60Hz, and as a wired-in light they are installed by a qualified electrician. Each one needs a ceiling hole 6.8cm across, a figure worth checking against old holes if you are replacing earlier downlights, and the recess depth is 2.5cm, worth checking against the space above your ceiling along with the lamp you choose. The installation instructions come as a download, so the last job is picking three GU10 lamps of up to 5W each.

Frequently Asked
Can these downlights go in a bathroom?
No. They are rated IP20, which means indoors and dry only, so they belong in rooms such as hallways, landings and living rooms, never in a bathroom or outside.
Which bulb does each downlight take?
Each downlight takes a GU10 lamp of up to 5W. The lamps are not included, so you will need three to fill the set.
Can the light be angled?
Yes. The inner ring of each downlight tilts, so you can aim the light towards a picture, shelving or a wall rather than straight beneath the fitting.
What size of hole does each downlight need?
Each downlight is 9cm across and needs a ceiling hole 6.8cm across, with a recess depth of 2.5cm.
How are the downlights switched?
There is no switch on the fittings themselves. They are switched at the wall, the same way as any other ceiling light in the room.
What colour is the finish?
The rims and bodies are white plastic, so they sit quietly against a white ceiling and keep the attention on the room rather than the fittings.
