Description
The Perth is a 3-light chandelier built around a triangular matte black metal frame with three woven shades and opal glass diffusers. Each arm extends from a central point on a ceiling-mounted rod, positioning the shades at equal radial intervals to form a balanced horizontal spread of approximately 1m. The woven shades sit above the opal glass globes, creating a two-layer diffusion — light passes through the glass first, then filters through the basket-weave texture above.
Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.5m or higher, the Perth provides ambient rather than task lighting. The drop is adjustable between 457mm and 1482mm, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a table surface depending on ceiling height. Each of the three E14 sockets takes bulbs up to 40W (sold separately), giving control over light colour and brightness. The 1m diameter suits tables or islands 1.6-2.2m long.
The woven shades are made from natural rattan or similar plant fibre, finished to complement the matte black metalwork. Each shade is hand-woven, so slight variation in weave density and colour tone occurs between individual pieces. The matte black finish on the frame has a low-gloss surface that absorbs rather than reflects light, reducing glare in evening use. The opal glass diffusers prevent direct bulb visibility from any viewing angle below the fixture, softening the light output and reducing eye strain when seated beneath.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Perth take?
Three E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K-3000K and 4-6W output for ambient dining light.
What table size does it suit?
The 1m diameter works best above dining tables or kitchen islands between 1.6m and 2.2m long. For longer tables consider using two Perth chandeliers spaced evenly, or choose a wider multi-pendant fixture.
Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?
The drop is set during installation by shortening the rod and cable. Once installed, the height is fixed unless the fitting is removed and the rod adjusted. Plan the final drop height before fitting.
How is the woven shade cleaned?
Use a dry soft brush or vacuum with a brush attachment to remove dust from the weave. Avoid water or cleaning sprays, as natural plant fibres can stain or warp when wet.
