Description

The Pegasus is a 450mm flush ceiling light built around three columns of smoked crystal suspended from a polished chrome circular plate. Each column comprises vertical strands of faceted smoked crystal beads threaded on fine wires, with a clear crystal prism at the base of each column to refract downward light. The 200mm overall height keeps the fitting within the envelope needed for ceilings below 2.4m, while the chrome plate acts as a reflective backing that amplifies the light output from the three G9 bulbs housed inside.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, and reception rooms with standard or lower ceiling heights, the Pegasus delivers decorative crystal detailing without the drop length of a traditional chandelier. The smoked crystal tone diffuses light more softly than clear crystal, reducing glare while maintaining the refractive quality that creates scattered highlights across walls and ceilings. The polished chrome finish on the backplate and central frame provides a high-contrast accent against the darker crystal, giving the fitting definition when viewed from below.

Each of the three columns measures approximately 100mm in diameter and contains multiple strands of individually faceted crystal beads, so light passing through the smoked glass creates layers of shadow and reflection that shift depending on viewing angle. The 3.5kg weight requires secure fixing into a ceiling joist or suitable anchor, and the G9 bulbs (sold separately) allow flexibility in choosing colour temperature and brightness. Dimmable G9 LED bulbs are compatible when paired with a suitable LED-rated dimmer switch.

Yes. The 200mm overall height makes this a flush fitting designed specifically for standard or low-ceiling rooms (2.2m-2.4m). The fitting mounts directly to the ceiling with minimal projection, unlike pendant or semi-flush designs that require more clearance.

What bulbs does it take?

The Pegasus takes three G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 3W-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting. Dimmable G9 LEDs are compatible when used with an LED-rated dimmer switch.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs and connected to a suitable LED-rated dimmer switch. The fitting itself has no integrated dimming function, so dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen.

How is the smoked crystal different from clear crystal?

Smoked crystal has a grey or charcoal tint that diffuses light more softly than clear crystal, reducing glare while still refracting light into scattered highlights. This gives a warmer, more atmospheric effect compared to the sharper sparkle of clear crystal, and pairs well with contemporary and industrial interiors.
