Description

This round-bellied stoneware cup holds 275ml, a comfortable size for a proper cup of tea or a milky coffee. It stands 8cm tall and measures 9cm across, with a rounded loop handle set high on one side. A multicoloured reactive glaze sweeps across the body at an angle, so the rim, the middle band and the base each carry their own tone and texture, with smooth glaze near the foot and a speckled, mottled band running through the centre.

Stoneware suits daily use, so this is a cup for the morning coffee at the kitchen table, a pot of tea shared with a friend, or a hot chocolate on the sofa on a cold evening. The rounded body is easy to cup in both hands while a drink cools.
