Description

This outdoor cushion carries a printed tropical scene across its front: two parrots amongst dense foliage, one blue and gold with a heavy hooked beak, the other orange and green perched on a branch, with a smaller green bird, red and yellow flowers and a spread of palm leaves filling the ground. The whole design sits on a bright white background, which lets the colour of the birds and blooms do the talking. It measures 43 x 43cm, the standard square that fits the widest choice of inserts and slots easily into a mixed group of scatter cushions.

It is made to live outside. The face is a water resistant polyester designed to shrug off showers and the odd spill, so it earns its place on a garden bench, a patio chair or an outdoor sofa without needing to be rushed indoors at the first cloud. Indoors it works just as well in a conservatory or a bright sitting room. The busy, high-contrast print suits a plain seat that needs lifting, and it holds its own against natural wood, rattan and pale knitted throws, the kind of textures you find in a relaxed garden setting.

The reverse is a coordinating printed leaf design in deep teal, a calmer face you can turn outward when you want the scene to rest. A hidden zip closure keeps the fastening out of sight and lets you take the cover off the insert. It is made from 100% polyester, a hard-wearing synthetic that resists fading and dries quickly, which is what makes it sensible for a spot that catches the weather. Designed, printed and made in the UK. One striking cushion, or several grouped together, will bring plenty of life to a garden seat or a windowsill nook.

Frequently Asked

Can this cushion stay outside in the rain?

It is made from water resistant polyester designed to withstand showers and spills, so it copes with the odd downpour, though bringing it in during prolonged wet weather will help it last.

Is the cushion the same on both sides?

No. The front shows the tropical parrot scene on a white ground and the reverse carries a coordinating teal leaf print, so you can turn whichever face you prefer outward.

What size insert does it take?

The cover measures 43 x 43cm, the standard square size, so a 43cm or slightly larger insert will fill it neatly and keep the corners plump.

Can I remove the cover?

Yes. There is a hidden zip closure along one edge, which keeps the fastening out of view and lets you take the cover off the insert.

What is the cushion made from?

It is 100% polyester, a hard-wearing synthetic that resists fading, dries quickly and stands up well to an outdoor spot that catches sun and weather.
