Description

The Paratebueno 2 is a linear pendant light in a brass finish, with eight bird-shaped shades hanging from a long oval canopy on fine dark cords. Each bird looks folded like paper, with swept wings and a small raised head, and the birds hang at different heights so the flock reads as a loose, natural scatter. It is 116cm long and 26cm wide, with an overall height of 150cm from the canopy to the lowest bird. The light comes from integrated LEDs, 4.2W for each of the eight lights, giving 500 lumens per light at a warm 3000K. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs in dry indoor rooms.

Because the canopy runs long and narrow, this pendant suits a dining table or a kitchen island, spreading light along the length of the surface rather than pooling it in the middle. The birds give the ceiling real interest even in daylight, so it works just as well over a sideboard or in a living room that needs a focal point. At 3000K the light is warm and relaxed, the sort that flatters food and faces at an evening meal. It suits anyone who wants a ceiling light that feels like a piece of sculpture by day and a gentle glow after dark.

The canopy and every bird share the same brass colour over a steel body, and each shade combines steel with plastic, with a soft white panel underneath where the light leaves the bird. The LEDs are dimmable, so you can bring the glow right down for a late supper and lift it again when the table is being laid. There is no switch on the light itself, as it is switched at the wall. Because it is wired into the mains, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. The packed weight is 12.52KG.
