Description

The Paola is an 8-light chandelier with a 95cm diameter circular frame, built around gold-painted curved arms that sweep upward and outward from a central column. Each arm supports a conical black fabric shade housing a single E14 bulb (sold separately), and the arms terminate in decorative fluted cuffs that echo the canopy design at the ceiling rose. Six amber crystal droplets hang from the underside of the frame, catching and refracting light when the chandelier is lit.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Paola works as a centrepiece over a rectangular or round dining table up to 2m in length, or as a focal point in a double-height entrance. The adjustable drop ranges from 800mm to 1500mm, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or set higher in a tall space. The 8.5kg weight requires a secure ceiling joist fixing or strengthened ceiling rose — the chandelier is not suitable for plasterboard-only ceilings without additional support.

The gold-painted finish on the metal frame has a warm, slightly aged tone that sits between polished brass and antique brass, pairing well with warm greys, deep greens, navy and traditional wood furniture. The black fabric shades absorb uplight and direct all illumination downward, creating focused pools of light beneath each bulb rather than ambient wash. The looped curves on each arm give the frame a decorative rhythm when viewed from below, while the amber crystal droplets add movement and visual interest without overwhelming the design.
