Paloma 2 Light Small Crystal Flush Ceiling Light 270mm - Antique Brass

The Paloma 2 Light Small is a 270mm flush crystal ceiling light built around an antique brass circular frame with faceted octagonal crystals arranged in overlapping rings. Two E14 bulbs sit inside the crystal bowl (bulbs sold separately), casting light through the faceted crystals and reflecting off the brass backplate. The 130mm projection sits closer to the ceiling than a semi-flush, making it suitable for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, dressing rooms and sitting rooms where a decorative ceiling light is needed but headroom is limited, the Paloma Small provides both ambient and accent lighting. The cut crystals scatter light across the ceiling and walls rather than delivering it in a single downward cone, creating softer shadows than a directional downlight. The antique brass finish adds warmth to the light output compared to chrome or polished nickel equivalents.

The crystal rings are held in place by a metal armature, with each octagonal crystal hand-strung into position during assembly. The antique brass finish shows the darker patina typical of aged brass rather than the bright yellow of polished brass, pairing well with traditional interiors, heritage colour schemes and warm-toned contemporary rooms. At 1kg the fitting mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose without additional reinforcement.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Paloma Small takes two E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are not included. Most users fit 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K for ambient lighting in bedrooms or hallways.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, but only when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming, but standard non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker if used with a dimmer.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 130mm projection from the ceiling makes it suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights. In rooms with lower ceilings (2.3m or below) the fitting will still work but may feel visually heavier. In taller rooms (2.7m+) a larger or deeper flush/semi-flush light may be better proportioned.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Turn off the power at the mains before cleaning. Wipe each crystal gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the crystals or the brass frame.
