Description

The Knightsbridge LWALL2A is an outdoor LED up down wall light with two CoB LED modules housed in a cylindrical brushed chrome body measuring 135mm tall and 49mm in diameter. The light projects 80mm from the wall and casts twin beams of 3000K warm white light upward and downward through clear glass diffusers, delivering 435 lumens total output from an 8W power draw.

Designed for mounting on external walls, the fitting carries an IP65 rating for dust-tight and water-jet resistance, making it suitable for exposed facades, porch entrances, garage walls, and garden boundaries. The dual-beam design creates architectural emphasis by washing light up a wall surface and down onto the ground simultaneously, useful for highlighting vertical cladding texture or defining a doorway at night. The 65-degree beam angle provides a wide spread that avoids harsh spotlighting.

The aluminium body is finished in brushed chrome with a low-sheen surface that reduces glare under direct sunlight and pairs well with stone, render, timber cladding and painted masonry. The fitting is Class I and requires an earth connection during installation. The CoB LED modules are integrated and non-replaceable, rated for 50,000 hours L70B50 lifespan, which equates to approximately 20 years under typical outdoor use patterns of 7 hours per night.

The constant-current driver is built into the body, so no external driver box is needed. The fitting is not dimmable and operates on 230V 50Hz mains only. The clear diffusers are sealed into the top and bottom apertures, preventing insect ingress and water pooling inside the cylinder.

What does the IP65 rating mean for outdoor use?

IP65 means the fitting is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. It can be used on fully exposed external walls, under eaves, or in covered porches. It is not submersible and should not be installed where it will sit in standing water.

Can the light be dimmed?

No. The integrated constant-current driver does not support dimming. The fitting operates at full 435lm output whenever powered on.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The CoB LED modules are integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The L70B50 rating of 50,000 hours suggests the fitting will maintain 70% of its original brightness for approximately 20 years under typical outdoor use of 7 hours per night.

What spacing is recommended between multiple fittings?
