Description

The Knightsbridge LANT3 is an outdoor LED half wall lantern with an integrated 8W 4000K LED and an IP54-rated polycarbonate body finished in black. The half-lantern profile mounts flush to the wall, with frosted opal diffuser panels on three sides and a stepped Art Deco-style crown at the top. The LED sits behind the diffuser, delivering 440 lumens of cool white light across a 225-degree beam angle.

Designed for outdoor wall mounting on porches, patios, beside front doors and along pathway walls, the lantern is rated IP54 for protection against dust and water splashes from any direction. The polycarbonate construction resists corrosion and impact better than die-cast metal equivalents, making it suitable for coastal and exposed locations where salt spray and UV exposure are concerns. The Class II double-insulated design means no earth connection is required during installation.

The lantern measures 362mm high by 175mm wide with a 99mm projection from the wall once mounted. The black finish works across both traditional and contemporary exteriors, pairing well with black or dark grey cladding, painted brick, and rendered walls. The integrated LED has an L70B50 lifespan of 60,000 hours, which translates to approximately 17 years of use at 10 hours per day before the LED degrades to 70% of its original output.

Yes. The polycarbonate body resists salt corrosion better than die-cast metal lanterns. The IP54 rating protects against rain and spray from any direction, making it suitable for exposed coastal walls and porches.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The LED is integrated into the lantern body and is not user-replaceable. The L70B50 rating of 60,000 hours means the LED will last approximately 17 years at 10 hours per day before degrading to 70% of its original brightness.

What colour temperature does it produce?

The integrated LED produces 4000K cool white light, which reads as a neutral white with a slight blue tint. This is brighter and more functional than warm white (2700K-3000K) and suits security and task lighting outdoors.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. The lantern operates at full brightness when powered on.
