Description

The Knightsbridge WALL1 is a fixed outdoor wall light built from Grade 304 stainless steel with an IP65 rating, housing a single GU10 lamp up to 35W. The cylindrical body measures 62mm in diameter and projects 92mm from the wall, with a clear glass diffuser at the base that allows the lamp to cast a focused downward beam.

Designed for driveways, pathways, porch entrances and perimeter walls where direct rain exposure is expected, the IP65 rating protects the internal components from water ingress and dust. The fixed-angle design directs light downwards to illuminate the ground or wall surface immediately below the fitting, making it suitable for marking steps, lighting pathways or creating pools of light along a building facade. The GU10 base accepts standard LED or halogen lamps (sold separately), with dimming capability dependent on the specific bulb chosen.

The 4mm gauge stainless steel body gives the fitting more physical weight and rigidity than thinner pressed-metal alternatives, and the brushed stainless finish resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments. Electrical connection is made through a 10A connector block inside the base, accessed by removing the lamp assembly. The fitting is Class I, requiring a mains earth connection during installation.

No. The WALL1 accepts a standard GU10 bulb up to 35W, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 5-7W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for pathway and driveway lighting.

What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?

IP65 means the fitting is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. It can be installed in fully exposed positions subject to direct rain, making it suitable for driveways, open patios, and perimeter walls without shelter.

Can the light direction be adjusted?

No. The WALL1 is a fixed downlight, directing the beam straight down from the wall. The angle cannot be adjusted after installation.

Is it suitable for coastal environments?

Yes. The 304 stainless steel construction resists corrosion in high-humidity and salt-air environments, though periodic rinsing with fresh water will extend the finish life in coastal installations.
