Description

The Knightsbridge WALL1L is a compact outdoor wall light built from 304-grade stainless steel with an IP65 rating, housing a single GU10 fitting rated to 35W maximum. The cylindrical body measures 60mm in diameter and projects 86mm from the wall, with a 120mm overall height including the mounting plate and clear lens at the base.

Designed for downward illumination on patios, garden paths, entrance porches and garage walls, the light casts a focused beam directly below the fitting. The clear diffuser provides maximum light output with no colour tinting, making it suitable for security lighting where brightness matters, or accent lighting where architectural features need highlighting. The IP65 rating means the fitting is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, so it can be installed on fully exposed walls in coastal or high-rainfall locations.

The 304 stainless steel construction resists corrosion from salt air and moisture better than painted or powder-coated aluminium fittings, while the brushed finish hides minor scratches and fingerprints during installation. Electrical connection is via a 10A connector block inside the base, accessible once the clear lens is removed. The fitting accepts any GU10 LED or halogen bulb up to 35W (bulb sold separately), with dimming capability dependent on the chosen bulb type.

What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?

IP65 means the fitting is completely dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. It can be installed on fully exposed walls in heavy rain, coastal locations or areas where it might be hosed down during cleaning.

What bulb does it take?

The light takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 35W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit a 5-7W LED GU10 in either warm white (2700-3000K) for ambient outdoor lighting or cool white (4000-6500K) for security applications.

Can it be fitted to brick or render?

Yes. The fitting mounts via a circular back plate that fixes to the wall with two screws. Standard wall plugs and screws are suitable for brick, render, timber cladding and most exterior wall surfaces.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb you fit. If you use a dimmable GU10 LED and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch, the light will dim. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs will not respond to dimmer controls.
