Description
The Knightsbridge BLED5BB is a recessed blue LED brick light with a black die-cast aluminium fascia, an IP54 rating for outdoor use, and an integrated 5W LED producing 80 lumens of blue light. The fitting includes two interchangeable faceplates — one plain glass diffuser and one louvre grille — allowing the light output to be configured as either a soft wash or a directed downward beam.
Designed for outdoor recessed installation in brick walls, rendered facades, and garden walls, the fitting is typically used for pathway marking, step lighting, driveway edging, or accent lighting in landscaped gardens. The recessed depth of 70mm requires a cut-out box measuring 226mm wide by 86mm high by 70mm deep, which is typically formed during construction or cut into existing walls with suitable tooling. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for outdoor wall positions exposed to rain.
The die-cast aluminium body provides corrosion resistance and structural rigidity for external installations, while the black powder-coated finish integrates cleanly into modern, industrial and contemporary facades. The opal glass diffuser softens the blue LED output when the plain faceplate is fitted, while the louvre grille directs light downward and reduces upward spill when fitted in positions where glare control is needed. The 150° beam angle gives a wide wash of light when the plain diffuser is used. The integrated LED is not replaceable and carries a 3-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
What's the difference between the plain and louvre faceplates?
The plain faceplate uses an opal glass diffuser that spreads blue light in a 150° beam, creating a soft wash effect. The louvre grille directs light downward through horizontal slats, reducing upward spill and glare. Both faceplates are included and can be swapped during installation depending on the application.
Can this be used in a bathroom or wet location?
The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor exposed wall positions. It is not rated for submersion or continuous water jets, so it should not be installed in locations subject to direct hose-down or heavy water flow.
What cut-out is needed for installation?
A cut-out box measuring 226mm wide, 86mm high and 70mm deep is required. This is typically formed during construction using a plastic recessed box or cut into existing walls with a masonry saw and chasing tools. The fitting then mounts into the cut-out with the fascia sitting flush to the wall surface.
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED carries a 3-year warranty and is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation.
