Description
The Orvani is a medium oval alabaster wall light measuring 250mm across the face with a 120mm projection from the wall. The diffuser is cut from a single piece of natural Spanish alabaster and mounted on a solid copper backplate, with an integrated LED behind the stone producing warm 3000K light through the body of the alabaster itself.
The wall light suits hallways, stairwells, bedrooms and lounge walls where a soft ambient glow is wanted rather than direct task light. It works well flanking a bed, mirror or fireplace as a pair, or set at intervals along a corridor to wash the wall in low-level warm light. The 230V mains supply runs to a concealed driver behind the backplate, and the fitting mounts on a standard UK wall box.
Each alabaster face shows pale cream and soft green-grey veining running diagonally across the oval, with white calcite striations that brighten when the LED is switched on. Because the stone is cut from natural blocks, no two Orvani wall lights share the same vein pattern. The honed soft white surface keeps the finish matt rather than glossy, allowing the internal structure of the stone to read as the primary detail. At 120mm deep, the oval reads as a sculptural form on the wall even when unlit.
The 250mm size sits between the smaller and larger Orvani variants in the range, giving enough surface area for visual presence without dominating a smaller wall. Mounted singly above a console or in a pair either side of a headboard, the proportions stay in scale with typical UK room dimensions.

Frequently Asked
Does the alabaster pattern vary between pieces?
Yes. Each oval is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the cream, green-grey and white veining differs between individual pieces. The variation is a feature of the natural stone and not a defect.
What colour temperature does the LED produce?
The integrated LED runs at 3000K, which is a warm white tone. Filtered through the alabaster, the output reads as a soft amber-warm glow rather than a cool or neutral white.
Is the Orvani suitable for bathrooms?
No specific IP rating is listed for this fitting, so it should be installed in dry indoor locations only. Hallways, bedrooms, stairwells and lounges are all suitable; bathroom and outdoor use is not recommended.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Alabaster is porous and softer than marble, so avoid household cleaners, sprays and polishes. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable but do not soak the stone.
