Description

The Orion is a 250mm semi-flush ceiling light combining a wood-toned disc with a matt black ceiling rose and central hub. An integrated 8W LED sits inside the disc, casting 560 lumens of 3000K warm white light downwards through a 140° beam angle. The 86mm height from ceiling to lower edge of the disc suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m or above where a pendant would hang too low.

Designed for hallways, landings, bedrooms and bathrooms (no IP rating, so not suitable for shower zones), the Orion provides ambient light rather than task light. The wood disc diffuses the LED output, softening the light before it reaches the room and reducing glare when viewed from below. The semi-flush mounting keeps the fitting close to the ceiling, making it suitable for spaces where a pendant would obstruct head clearance or where multiple fittings are needed across a larger room without visual clutter.

The wood finish shows natural grain variation depending on the veneer section used in production, so individual fittings differ slightly in tone and pattern. The matt black metal components contrast with the wood without creating a stark industrial look, making the fitting adaptable to Scandinavian, contemporary and Japanese-influenced interiors. At 0.8kg the fitting is light enough to mount on plasterboard ceilings with standard fixings.
