The Orion is a 500mm semi-flush ceiling light with a shallow dome shade in two finishes: the interior is hand-applied gold leaf, the exterior matt black steel. An integrated 24W LED sits within the dome, casting 1680 lumens of 3000K warm white light downward and outward through a 140° beam angle. The gold leaf interior acts as a reflector, amplifying the warmth of the light and adding a textured metallic glow when the fitting is switched on.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.7m where a pendant drop would feel too low, the Orion sits 140mm from the ceiling to the base of the shade, making it suitable for bedrooms, lounges, hallways and dining rooms where a semi-flush mount provides ambient light without dominating headroom. The 500mm diameter provides coverage for rooms up to 15-18m², with the wide beam angle reducing harsh shadows and creating even ambient distribution.

The gold leaf is applied by hand to the steel interior, so each fitting shows slight tonal variation and texture differences depending on how the leaf settles and overlaps during application. The matt black exterior provides contrast and hides the ceiling canopy and wiring when viewed from below. The combination of black and gold suits both contemporary interiors with dark accent walls and more traditional settings where metallic finishes are used as highlights.

The LED is non-dimmable and runs on standard 220-240V mains. At 1.8kg, the fitting mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose with no additional support required. The 3-year warranty covers the LED driver and metalwork.
