Orbital LED Semi-Flush Ceiling Light 40W 3000K - White

The Orbital is a 350mm semi-flush ceiling light built from three interlocking aluminium rings finished in matt white, suspended 411mm below the ceiling rose. Each ring sits at a different angle to the others, creating a layered spherical form that shifts in appearance as you move around the room. Integrated LEDs inside the rings cast light through diffused acrylic linings, producing 1510 lumens of warm 3000K light from a total 40W power draw.

Designed for living rooms, hallways, landings and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Orbital works as both ambient lighting and a sculptural centrepiece. The 411mm drop suits standard-height ceilings without intruding into head clearance, while the open ring structure allows light to spread in multiple directions rather than pooling directly below the fitting. The warm white colour temperature provides comfortable everyday illumination without the clinical edge of cooler LEDs.

The matt white finish on the aluminium rings gives a clean, neutral appearance that pairs with minimalist, Scandinavian and contemporary interiors. The rings are offset rather than concentric, so the fixture presents a different profile from each viewing angle — circular from directly below, elliptical and layered from the side. At 2.1kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a standard UK ceiling rose rated for the weight, typically with toggle or cavity fixings in plasterboard ceilings.

The non-dimmable LEDs are rated for a typical lifespan of 25,000 hours at 3000K, meaning the light output remains consistent over years of use without the colour shift or dimming that affects cheaper LED fittings. The fixture is supplied with a 3-year warranty from Mantra Spain.

Is the Orbital dimmable?

No. The integrated LEDs are non-dimmable and must be wired to a standard on/off switch. Pairing with a dimmer circuit may cause flickering or damage the driver.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 411mm drop from ceiling rose to base of the rings suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In lower-ceilinged rooms the fitting may intrude into comfortable head clearance, particularly on staircases or landing areas.

Can the rings be adjusted or repositioned?

No. The rings are fixed in position at the factory and cannot be adjusted on site. The offset angles are part of the design and are the same across all Orbital units.

How is the fitting cleaned?

Wipe the aluminium rings with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the rings as liquid can seep into the LED housing and damage the driver.
