Description
Our On Track L Connector is a small black plastic piece that turns a run of lighting track through a right angle, so the track can follow the corner of a room rather than stopping short. It is 12.5cm long, 8cm wide and 3.3cm high, and it weighs 0.22KG. There is no lamp socket on it and it gives no light of its own: its job is to carry the track round the turn. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms only.
It suits a track layout that wraps round a corner, such as a ceiling run in a kitchen that turns to follow the wall, or a line of track lights in a living room, hallway or studio. With the corner joined, the lights along the track can follow the shape of the room, so light can be aimed along each wall. The black finish keeps the join quiet against a dark ceiling or black track, and it sits low, at just 3.3cm high. Because it is rated IP20, it belongs in dry living spaces, never a bathroom or anywhere outdoors.
The body is plastic in a black finish, with metal clips and contacts at each end where the track meets it. It has no switch of its own, so the lights on the track are switched at the wall. Like the track it joins, it is installed by a qualified electrician. At 0.22KG it adds very little weight to the run, and plastic wipes clean with a soft, dry cloth. Measure where each run of track reaches the corner before fitting begins, so the connector lands exactly where the room turns.

Frequently Asked
Can the L connector go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which means it is for indoor, dry rooms only, so keep it out of bathrooms and away from anywhere outdoors.
What does the L connector do?
It joins lighting track at a right angle, so a run of track can turn a corner and follow the walls of the room.
Does it hold a bulb?
No. It has no lamp socket and gives no light of its own; it simply carries the track round the corner.
How big is the connector?
It is 12.5cm long, 8cm wide and 3.3cm high, and it weighs 0.22KG, so it sits low and neat at the corner.
Does the connector have a switch?
No. It has no switch of its own; the lights along the track are switched at the wall, so you control them in the usual way.
What material is it?
It is made of plastic in a black finish, which suits a dark ceiling or a run of black track.
