Description

The Olivia is a 1.63m floor lamp built around a polished chrome central column topped with three E14 candle fittings, each surrounded by cascading Asfour crystal droplets. A 450mm-diameter ivory cream fabric shade sits above the crystal candelabra, diffusing light from all three bulbs down through the translucent shade and out through the crystals below.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and entrance halls where ambient and decorative lighting are both needed, the Olivia provides soft overhead illumination without requiring a ceiling fitting. The polished chrome reflects ambient daylight during the day, while the crystal droplets catch and refract artificial light in the evening. The lamp is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs, allowing brightness to be adjusted from full reading light to low background glow.

The cream fabric shade is made from a gauze weave that softens the light output without blocking it entirely, giving a warm diffused glow rather than hard shadows. The chrome frame stands on a weighted circular base approximately 250mm in diameter, providing stability on carpet and hard floors. At 5.4kg the lamp has enough mass to resist tipping but remains light enough to be repositioned between rooms. The crystal droplets are cut-glass Asfour crystals rather than acrylic, so they maintain clarity over time and can be wiped clean without scratching.

What bulbs does the Olivia take?

The lamp takes three E14 candle bulbs up to 40W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for living room or bedroom use. Note that the specification states the lamp is not compatible with LED or CFL bulbs, so halogen or traditional filament E14 bulbs are required.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs. The lamp itself does not include a built-in dimmer — dimming is controlled via a compatible wall dimmer switch or plug-in dimmer module on the mains supply.

How is the shade cleaned?

The ivory cream fabric shade can be dusted with a soft brush or vacuumed gently using an upholstery attachment. For deeper cleaning, spot-clean with a barely-damp cloth and allow to air-dry fully before switching the lamp back on.

Can the crystals be removed for cleaning?

The Asfour crystal droplets are hung on metal loops and can be carefully unhooked for cleaning. Wipe each crystal with a dry microfibre cloth or a slightly damp cloth with distilled water, then allow to dry fully before re-hanging.
