Oberon 5 Light Smoked Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Oberon is a 450mm flush ceiling light with five G9 bulb fittings concealed inside a polished chrome cylinder, from which cascades a cone of smoked crystal button droplets. A circular smoked mirror-glass plate sits flush to the ceiling above the chrome housing, reflecting the crystal strands and doubling the visual density when the light is on.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2-2.4m where a traditional pendant would hang too low, the 340mm drop sits tight to the ceiling while providing the decorative presence of a chandelier. The flush mount suits hallways, low-ceiling dining rooms, bedrooms and landing areas where overhead clearance is limited but accent lighting is still wanted. The five G9 fittings accept capsule halogen or LED bulbs (sold separately), with dimmable bulbs required if pairing with a dimmer switch.

The smoked crystal adds tonal depth compared to clear crystal, filtering light into warmer tones and softening the overall brightness. The polished chrome frame reflects the crystal and provides a cool metallic contrast against the darkened glass. Each crystal button is faceted to catch and refract light at multiple angles, creating small points of brightness across the cone when the bulbs are illuminated. The 2.9kg weight requires secure fixing to a timber joist or ceiling support — standard plasterboard fixings are not sufficient.

What bulbs does the Oberon take?

The fitting takes five G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED capsules between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm white light. Dimmable G9 LEDs are required if using with a dimmer switch.

What ceiling height is needed?

How is the fitting secured to the ceiling?

How is the smoked crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe the crystal droplets and smoked mirror plate with a dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome housing or electrical components.
