Nur Rectangular Dimmable LED Semi-Flush Ceiling Light 40W 3000K - White

The Nur is an 855mm rectangular LED semi-flush ceiling light with an integrated 40W 3000K LED running along a curved loop frame suspended from a white ceiling plate. The frosted white diffuser wraps the LED strip, turning the entire rectangular outline into a continuous light source that casts 3200lm of warm ambient light across the room. The semi-flush design projects 650mm from the ceiling, positioning the illuminated loop well into the room while maintaining clearance for standard 2.4m ceiling heights.

Designed for open-plan living rooms, dining areas and entrance halls where ambient light is needed without ceiling pendants or downlights, the Nur provides even diffusion across walls and furniture without creating hard shadows or glare zones. The 855mm length suits dining tables up to 2m long, kitchen islands and hallway runs. The dimmable LED allows the light output to be reduced from full 3200lm brightness down to softer evening levels using a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer switch (dimmer sold separately).

The white powder-coated aluminium frame and frosted acrylic diffuser give the fitting a 1.74kg weight that requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or板 using appropriate fixings (supplied). The curved rectangular geometry reads as a single continuous line when lit, with the frosted diffuser hiding the internal LED strip and driver. Is the Nur dimmable and what dimmer is needed?

Yes. The integrated 40W LED is dimmable but requires a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer switch rated for LED loads. Standard incandescent dimmers may cause flickering or buzzing. Please contact us to confirm compatibility with your existing dimmer before installation.

What ceiling height is needed for the 650mm drop?

The Nur projects 650mm from the ceiling to the bottom of the illuminated loop. In rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights, this leaves approximately 1.75m clearance beneath the fitting, which is sufficient for walking under in most domestic settings. Lower ceilings below 2.3m may feel restricted.

How is the Nur fitted to the ceiling?

The white ceiling plate fixes directly to a ceiling joist or solid ceiling structure using screws and fixings (supplied). The 1.74kg weight requires secure fixing — plasterboard fixings alone are not sufficient. Electrical connection is made inside the ceiling plate to UK mains wiring.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use (around 11 years at 6 hours per day). When the LED eventually fails, the entire fitting would need to be replaced.
