Description

The Nur is a 525mm diameter semi-flush ceiling light built around a continuous curved ribbon of brown oxide-finished metal housing an integrated 30W LED strip. The ribbon forms a sweeping spiral that starts at a 100mm ceiling plate and curves outward and downward to a maximum drop of 640mm, creating a sculptural arc that sits close enough to the ceiling to work in rooms with 2.4m heights while maintaining a strong visual presence.

The LED strip runs the full length of the ribbon's inner edge, shielded by a frosted white diffuser that softens the 2800K output into ambient wash light rather than direct beam. The 2400 lumen output and 120-degree beam angle suit living rooms, dining areas and primary bedrooms where the fitting acts as both the main light source and a decorative feature. The integrated LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer, allowing the light level to be adjusted from full brightness down to low evening glow.

The brown oxide finish on the metal ribbon gives a textured, warm metallic surface tone closer to bronze or aged copper than pure black, adding depth under both natural daylight and artificial light. The finish pairs well with warm-toned timber, terracotta, rust and ochre interiors, and provides contrast against white or light grey ceilings. The frosted diffuser on the inner edge of the ribbon prevents glare when viewed from below and keeps the focus on the sculptural form of the curve rather than the light source itself.
