Description

The Nostalgia is a 6 light chandelier built around a central brushed gold cylinder with six asymmetric matt black arms extending outwards, each supporting a frosted blown glass globe. The globes sit in brushed gold cups that mirror the central column finish, creating a two-tone gold and black frame. Each globe houses an E14 bulb (sold separately) and the frosted glass diffuses light evenly across the room.

Designed for dining rooms, living spaces and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Nostalgia spans 100cm in diameter and requires adequate clearance around the fixture. The height is adjustable between 67.3cm and 81.7cm on installation via the rod, allowing the chandelier to be set at the correct drop above a dining table (typically 75-85cm above the surface) or as ambient lighting in a larger room. The six lights provide balanced illumination across the span of the frame.

The matt black arms contrast with the brushed gold metalwork to create a retro-modern aesthetic that pairs with mid-century, contemporary and transitional interiors. The frosted globes are individually blown, so each shows slight variation in size and texture. What bulbs does the Nostalgia take?

The chandelier takes six E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit 4-6W LED candle or golf ball bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient dining room lighting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable rod allows the chandelier to hang between 67.3cm and 81.7cm from the ceiling rose. For a dining table, the chandelier typically sits 75-85cm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The 100cm diameter also requires sufficient clearance around the fixture.

Is the Nostalgia dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs fitted and the dimmer switch used. LED bulbs must be labelled as dimmable and paired with an LED-compatible dimmer. Incandescent and halogen E14 bulbs dim on standard trailing-edge dimmers.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the chandelier is suitable for dry indoor locations only and must not be installed in bathrooms, kitchens above hobs, or any location where moisture or steam is present.
