Description
The Noon is an 800mm semi-flush ceiling light built around a spherical starburst frame in antique gold, radiating clear glass rods and teardrop forms from a central hub. Six E14 bulb fittings sit within the frame, casting light through the glass elements to create layered reflections and refractions across the fixture. Each glass rod and droplet is hand-positioned to balance the composition, giving the fitting its 350mm drop from ceiling to lowest point.
Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Noon functions as both primary ceiling light and centrepiece. The semi-flush mount sits closer to the ceiling than a pendant, making it suitable for rooms where a traditional chandelier would hang too low. The 800mm diameter creates visual impact without overwhelming a 4m x 4m room, and the antique gold finish provides warmth against white or neutral ceilings.
The glass elements are clear rather than frosted, so the choice of bulb directly affects the quality of light and the appearance of the fixture when lit. Filament-style LED bulbs reveal the internal structure of the bulb and add a vintage accent to the mid-century starburst form, while opal or frosted LED bulbs soften the light and reduce glare. The antique gold finish is a brushed satin tone rather than a high-polish brass, which reduces reflections and pairs with both warm and cool-toned interiors.
At 4.3kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced plasterboard anchor. The six E14 bulbs are sold separately, with a maximum of 20W per socket allowing up to 120W total load. Dimmable bulbs are required if pairing with a dimmer switch.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Noon takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Maximum 20W per socket, so up to 120W total. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K). Filament-style LEDs suit the mid-century aesthetic; frosted LEDs reduce glare.
Is it suitable for low ceilings?
The 350mm drop makes it suitable for standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m and above. In lower rooms the semi-flush mount sits closer to the ceiling than a pendant would, but a flush-mount fitting with no drop may be more appropriate for ceilings below 2.3m.
Can it be dimmed?
Yes, if fitted with dimmable bulbs. The fitting itself is compatible with dimmer switches, but the bulbs must be labelled as dimmable. Check bulb packaging before purchasing.
How is the glass cleaned?
Switch off at the mains and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe glass rods and droplets with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid sprays or polishes that could leave residue on the clear glass or tarnish the antique gold frame.
