Description
The Nocar is a 762mm tall outdoor wall light with a narrow rectangular profile in matt black, housing an integrated 39W 3000K LED that casts light both upward and downward along the wall surface. The fitting projects 90mm from the wall and sits 127mm wide, giving a vertical accent that works on tall facades, beside entrance doors, and along perimeter walls where height emphasises architectural lines.
Designed for modern residential exteriors, the Nocar suits rendered walls, brick facades, timber cladding and concrete panels where a slim vertical profile avoids the visual bulk of traditional lanterns. The uplight and downlight spread washes the wall texture in warm 3000K light, highlighting materials like stone or render without spilling glare into neighbours' sight lines. IP44 rating protects against rain and moisture ingress, making the fitting suitable for exposed positions under eaves or soffit-mounted installations with partial weather protection.
The matt black powder-coated aluminium body resists UV fade and corrosion in coastal and urban environments. The integrated LED removes the need for bulb replacement and runs at 39W for approximately 50,000 hours of rated life, equivalent to over 15 years at 8 hours per night. Multiple Nocar fittings can be installed in vertical or horizontal series to frame a main entrance, line a pathway, or define the corners of a courtyard wall, creating rhythm through repeating vertical elements.
The flush mounting plate hides fixings behind the body, giving a clean finish once installed. The 90mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall plane, reducing the chance of impact damage in narrow side passages or beside gates. The 127mm width is narrow enough to fit between standard UK brick courses without cutting into mortar lines on most masonry walls.

Frequently Asked
Is the Nocar suitable for fully exposed outdoor positions?
The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction and solid objects above 1mm, making the fitting suitable for positions under eaves, soffits or partial overhangs. For fully exposed positions with no overhead cover, a higher IP rating (IP54 or IP65) would provide better long-term weather resistance.
Can the LED be replaced?
The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The rated life is approximately 50,000 hours, equivalent to over 15 years of use at 8 hours per night. If the LED fails within the 3-year guarantee period, contact Kichler or Niori for warranty support.
What wall colour works best with the uplight and downlight effect?
Light-coloured walls (white, cream, light grey, natural render) reflect more of the uplight and downlight spread, creating a stronger wall-washing effect. Dark walls (charcoal, black, deep brown) absorb more light and produce a subtler glow with more defined light pools at the top and bottom of the fitting.
How is the fitting mounted?
The Nocar uses a flush mounting plate that fixes to the wall with screws and rawl plugs. The fitting body then clips or screws onto this plate, hiding all fixings once installed. Standard exterior-rated electrical cable feeds through the wall into the back of the mounting plate. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
