Description
The Nilbine Ceiling Light is an open wire frame in black steel that sits close to the ceiling on a round plate. Its faceted shape is cut like a gem, and its outline from directly beneath is a neat hexagon. It stands 27.5cm tall and measures 32.5cm across, so it gives a room a clear shape without hanging low into it. It takes a single E27 bulb up to a maximum of 60W. The bulb is not included, which leaves the choice of glow to you. With an IP rating of IP20, it belongs indoors in dry rooms only.
Because the frame is open, the bulb becomes part of the look, and a clear or amber filament bulb shows off the wirework best. It suits hallways, landings, kitchens, living rooms and bedrooms, and its low profile makes good sense where a pendant would hang too close to heads. The geometric lines sit happily in industrial and modern schemes, next to dark metal, warm timber and plain painted walls. There is no switch on the light itself. It works from the wall switch you already have, so day to day it behaves like any other ceiling light. Keep it out of bathrooms and damp spaces, as IP20 means indoors and dry.
The frame, ceiling plate and bulb holder all share the same black finish, so the light reads as one clean outline against a pale ceiling. Steel is strong, which lets the slim wires hold their crisp angles. It weighs 0.975KG packed and runs on 220-240V mains at 50/60Hz. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. Choose an E27 bulb within the 60W maximum. A warm filament bulb gives a soft glow and throws patterned shadows across the ceiling whenever the light is lit.

Frequently Asked
Can the Nilbine Ceiling Light go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in dry rooms such as hallways, landings, living rooms and bedrooms, and not in bathrooms or damp spaces.
Which bulb does it take?
It takes one E27 bulb up to a maximum of 60W. The bulb is not included, and a clear or amber filament bulb suits the open frame.
How big is the light?
It stands 27.5cm tall and measures 32.5cm across, so it sits close to the ceiling and suits rooms where a hanging pendant would feel too low.
Does it have its own switch?
No, there is no switch on the light itself. It is switched at the wall, so it works from your existing wall switch like any other ceiling light.
What material is the frame?
The frame is steel in a black finish. The ceiling plate and bulb holder match it, giving one clean outline against the ceiling.
