The Newtown is a pendant light with an open cage of black steel wires that swell out from a narrow top and draw in again towards a small ring at the base, a little like an acorn. The cage is 16cm in diameter and the light measures 110cm high overall, hanging on a slim black cord from a round black ceiling rose. Inside sits a single E27 bulb holder that takes a bulb of up to 60W; the bulb is not included, so you can choose the one you like best. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs in dry rooms indoors.

Because the cage is open, the bulb stays in view and becomes part of the look, so it is worth picking a clear filament bulb with a warm glow.
